Who we are
We’re a small, friendly preschool based in Shirenewton, a few miles from Chepstow, offering a nurturing environment for children aged 2½ to 4.
At Shirenewton Preschool, we are all passionate and committed in our roles. We feel every child should be inspired by their surroundings and supported to develop confidence, curiosity and independence.
We have close links with the local primary schools which enables us to help the children make a smooth transition from nursery care to school life.
Our Approach
The setting follows the Curriculum for Wales, ensuring that children are provided with meaningful opportunities to acquire knowledge and understanding through engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences.
From our beautiful outdoor space to our cosy reading corners, everything at Shirenewton Preschool is designed with young children in mind. We focus on early language and literacy, creativity, social development and a love of the natural world — giving every child a strong foundation for school and beyond.
We place great importance on building strong relationships with both children and families, recognising that trust and open communication are essential to a child’s success.
With a combination of professional experience, practical knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales, and a genuine passion for Early Years education, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and flourish.
